His 1928 novel Deluge, about a flood which devastates Britain, was a success and was later adapted into a Hollywood film of the same title. The Island of Captain Sparrow (1928) was inspired by H. G. The text pages are clean and bright. The front endpaper includes a book plate from an early fandom member (Aubrey M. MacDermott) who helped vote Hugo Gernsbach for the 1st Retroactive Hugo Award. A portion of the front flap has been pasted to the rear pastedown page. The dust jacket is in clean bright condition, but is missing both flaps. N. 40", which is set in a repressive future controlled by supporters of the eugenics movement. "The Choice: An Allegory of Blood and Tears" is a satire on the Christian conception of Heaven. In 1934, Wright visited Nazi Germany to write a series of newspaper articles.
